Its because the offence was against a Police Officer, basically you can do whatever you want to a member of public and get away with it, but you so much as thorw water at the police and you get locked up, its all wrong,

Im not sticking up for the lads in prison, they did wrong and should be punished, Im just not a fan of the police force or anyone in it.
