The 6000 figure he quoted was refererence to the number of passes that the club would need to sell, to compete at the top level.
Most clubs that want to succeed at the top level will require targets for pass sales, which will be based on their financial circumstances.
All clubs will calculate the number of passes they need to sell based on a number of factors, as with any business, all factors are built into the equation, i.e staff wages, property
rent and rates,
Grounds like the kc will demand a far higher
rent ,
rates and overheads in general, than craven park or Castlford for instance.
As a result Hull would have to take that factor into consideration when calculating their number of season passes requirment.
