100% agree, if Andy was ever going to be good enough it would have shown by now. Onwards and upwards.

I have known & watched him play from a youngster through the accademy/national conferance & into our first team, & I think Justin was wrong not to give him a go after promotion. I would bet it was the salary cap that was the deciding factor. But he is a far better hooker than Kirk Netherton who would still be with us if he had wanted to be. As I have posted recently he has a couple years more experiance now, shows a lot of leadership at 9 for Barrow. Biased but I think he & a few other young men in the national leagues would do well in supper league given a full time enviroment.

Oh my god
Try watching them both when they are clipped up on Sports Perfomer and then come back and defend that argument!!

Havent a clue what you are talking about (sports performer?). I base my judgment on having spent the last 50 years playing, watching & coaching & I know a good player when I see one. I am not saying Kirk Netherton is not good just that Andy Ellis is better & I know how his mental approach is first class. But hey its a matter of oppinions.

Not every former Rover's player; some you wouldn't touch with a barge pole. With all the supposed restrictions on playing personel, good English players are going to be like rocking horse poop next season and the national leagues need to be looked at closely. Although if there's a way around the supposed restrictions on playing personel, Neil & Justin will find it.
Anyway - back on topic the Wigan board is awash with people decrying the salary cap and how it's set rugby league back decades (for them maybe!) and now they are even posting Youtube links to games when they were good. It's hilarious.
"Blah,blah,blah...and Kevin Irooooooooooooo"
"Arguably the best Rugby League side certainly in the last 40 years!" Phil Clarke.
