My point is that age is not the issue with the above players. They look after themselves and play to a high standard whatever age.

Fitz may play prop or second row but he will do it to a good standard as he always has hence his stellar career.

We both have players a lot younger who's idea of a stella career may mean something different!

Fitzgibbon is the type os signing to halt your slide rather than as part of a team to genuinely challenge.

I think our choice of scrum half and the coaches tactics may determine that more TBH!

Must admit that i think Fitzgibbon is coming over a couple of years too late in his career and im glad Rovers opted against signing him. However, it may be that a change of scenery revitalises him and he could be an inspired signing.

I think this is certainly a case of signing the person as well as the player. We signed Kearney knowing he was no longer the wide running back rower but his experience and professionalism served Hull very well I am sure you agree.

It must be great been a Burnett or Josh Hodgson knowing you will be training alongside a great player like Fitz.

Im sure you are right mate but then again i bet your younger players were looking forward to learning off Berro but look how that one has turned out....In saying that, i am told that Jordan Lee can drink any of his 17year old mates under the table so Berro's guidence hasnt been a total waste of time.
