Don't get me started on Millsy again, IMO he just doesn't cut it despite what people might say about 'doing the work that doesn't get noticed'. It the stuff that gets noticed that is so obviously lacking for a man of his size. I couldn't believe it when Justin gave him a 2 year extension to his 1 year contract as I honestly thought he was destined to be on his way at the end of last season.
it does seem odd he got an extension and then not playing him but saying that if we do get injuries i don't think it is a big problem that we have Mills coming in who can perform very well at times.
The Mills situation does appear strange. He seemed to show up reasonably well in pre season.
I've only seen the reserves once this year and the impression I got was that Mills was not necessesarily lazy but allowing others to play more.
For me the main purpose of the reserves is for the reserves and senior players (coming back from injury say) shouldn't need to prove their ability only their fitness. It would not help the reserves, as a team, for a 30 year old first team prop to batter a bunch of 18/19 year olds all around the park and take the ball up at every opportunity (would it?). Maybe that's what JM wants to see, I don't know.
He seemed to be talking quite a lot which you would expect from a seasoned pro in a team of younger players.

thanks, was interested as want to see him in the mid-season internationals and in the four nations at full back, so although a long way away was worried he'd picked up an injury.

I think the Rovers staff were being cautious with Briscoe for that very reason.

I bloody hope not, we need him back in the squad, especially if our only other full back goes on his expected all inclusive

Full strength minus the injuries then.
That squad is wrong

No, but we've seen players come back from injury not 100% (Cooke, Chev, Webster etc...) and you only have to look at what happened with Paul White to know that sometimes the risk just isn't worth it.
