True though we've probably had 300k+ wasted this season. Thats 1/6th of our cap.

So we are talking 200-300k'ish not used for first team players for 1 reason or another and we still finished 7th.

Not every post is about the here and now some of us can actually look to the future with optimism.

Hudgell's quote was referencing FC's announcing Long and Fitz in a season where we had on average 7 players out with injury every week and consequently finished 12th. Didn't stop him condemning us looking forward with optimism off the back of it, did it? I don't feel I've been sold short fortunately: better players+better luck with injuries = 6 place improvement in the league table.
