I think he should be. And we're 'good' enough to pick up a handful more wins - there are several other clubs struggling just as much.
However next year we need a change of style/culture - more so than personnel, probably. Smith and Maguire didn't make many changes to the squads at Warrington and Wigan. Even at Hudds, Brown didn't make wholesale changes. Our pack is underpowered and too passive, our attacking play one-dimensional.

Thankfully the board are asking how 1.7 million pounds of their money didnt know how to play anything other than five drives and a poor kick against a stuttering Wigan side there for the taking..a Wigan side that cost the same as our overpaid shower...what do we do in our 30 hours of training every week..???, we certainly do not waste any time practising attacking moves....our rugby is turgid, boring and mind-numbing...
If Wigan were on any sort of form it would have been 70.....and yet their team costs as much as ours...in fact the team they had out tonight cost less...
Its about time some players came clean or grew a conscience...
Vella wants 130 for another year, we turned down Carvell for 105.., too english.., we are paying, and built the team around, two reserve halfbacks who couldnt run a darts team never mind a challenging SL club, nearly 200.., we could have had Lockyer.., (hopefully 1 of them is leaving with JM..).., we are paying Joel Clinton what is working out to be approx £1000 every ten minute spell he does on the pitch , good value or what..??? We are paying three other second grade Aussies £250,000 between them...good value..??? Ben Galea i exempt from all criticism , a fantastic servant..and not robbed us., we are paying a second rate , found out, one set of six, coach £185,000 and perks per year....no wonder he wants to stay forever...
Its time to wise up or flounder for many years...and Hudgy baby and his cuddle crew will have wasted millions on nothing...hope they feel good about it...
You must be the sort of bloke that thinks you know a lot about rugby.
Why exactly were wigan there for the taking last night? Because for an hour we were in the game? That doesnt mean they were there for the taking, it means that we did well to hang in for that long. You say we must not waste time practising attacking moves just because last night we couldn't score freely against the second best defence in the league when we have a better attack than Crusaders, Wakefield, Harlequins, Salford, Bradford, Hull and Catalans.
Now we come to the most embarrassing bit of all. You claim to know exactly how Vella is going about his contract negotiations, you don't. You claim to know that Carvell came and begged to sign for us for £105,000 a year, he almost definitely didn't. You then attack a player who has been selected in the SL dream team every full season he has been here and another who has been probably our best player this year. Oh, and you also try and guess their wage packets again. What exactly makes you believe we could have had the elderly Darren Lockyer? You want rid of Morgan (and one of our HBs) to be presumambly replaced by yourself and I suppose you will do the job for free so that "Hudgy baby and the cuddle crew" aren't wasting any more of their hard earned cash. I'm not sure who the other 3 Aussies who you are talking about are, possibly Clint Newton, Ben Fisher and New Zealander, Jake Webster, but if those 3 are earning £250,000 between them I think that is good value. And then for good measure you have a little guess at how much Justin Morgan is being paid per year. Seeing as you sign off by telling the board they need to become as wise as you, is there any chance you will offer any actual solutions to these problems you have made up or will you just keep pretending to know more about the club than anyone else without ever saying anything of substance?
Oh, and by the way, learn how to properly use an ellipsis.

as soon as i heard thaler was the video ref i knew he'd give that try to richards..(even though he knocked on). after the trouble justin morgan had with thaler a few months back it was obvious he'd give it. what makes me smile is cummings knew the of the past recent troubles between these two..he could have easily chose someone else. it must have broke thaler's heart when rovers scored their try.
oooh miss jones, theres only one superleague team to shout for and that is THE SAINTS.

As soon as I heard his name I stood up and went to put the kettle on, the wife shouted @it looks like a knock on' to which I replied 'he will give it', I didn't need to look at the replay as I KNEW it would not matter one iota if it was a knock on or not, Thaler would give the try.
The bloke is not impartial when he has anything to do with us, remember the Flannery try when at l;east 3 Saints players were about 5 mtrs offside !!! I just give up hope when he refs us.

LB seems very well connected and whilst his numbers may be subject to conjecture, i doubt they'll be far away. Seems to me he is every bit as big a fan of HKR as anyone on here but he doesn't fall for all the old flannel that comes out of CP on a regular basis.
His views may be hard hitting and harsh at times but in general i find it hard to disagree with him.

I doubt he has a clue about the private details of individual players, if he has then he is in breach of confidence.
