Why would that make Rovers a laughing stock?

Wont be too happy if true about horne, seems like our recruitment policy this year has been poor so far. Poor as in no real excitement about any of it. Im hoping this changes soon. Looks like 2010 could be a very different season than 2009 for us.

Laughing stock may be a bit OTT but its amusing for some that the mighty HKR firsty goes to sign G Horne who all Rovers fans dont rate and then secondly G Horne may turn you down. Imagine the stick you'd be giving me if the boot were on the other foot.

Some people are easily amused.

You have been giving Horne new contracts for the past 6 years and ive never given it a second thought to be honest. Dont see why the cabbages are getting excited about Rovers alledgedly offering him a deal.
As i have already stated we wont be signing him anyway but what would be the difference between signing him or Jordan Turner for instance.

That's just FC players Morgan's been in for the last couple of seasons, let's not start on the Prince, Lockyer, L'Estrange type players, or we'll be here all night.

Difference i guess between G Horne and Jordan Turner are their junior international pedigrees, Turner has youth on his side and is still developing. Turner is a natural athlete who's quick and strong.

The call was made at FC that G Horne had had his chances and that a new young utility player was needed. Im happy with it to be honest.

Gwillum Lloyd has stated on BBC Humberside Sport this afternoon that G Horne is not signing for Rovers and that their efforts are concentrating on their other targets in Aus.

Despite what has been said on this thread by both sets of fans from both sides of the river, 18k for a player of his age and experience represents good value for money IMO...
