However, he could have chosen to run the club at breakeven with a smaller squad for 2012 and 2013 whilst the funding intricacies of the development were being sorted and the stand constructed. The new 3 year franchises have been awarded and are supposed to allow clubs breathing space to plan properly for infrastructure improvements without the threat of relegation. It's a bit harsh to complain to the council about losing money in a year in which the stand would not have been ready anyway. Spend a bit less.
Exactly NH is the typical fan owning a Club. He has let his heart rule his head. His overstreching of Hull KR financially will come home to roost. How many more hand outs does he want ? £1million from Allam . A substantial sum from the Council which was paid in 3 annual installments and still he wants more !!

Full disclosure - I added the prayer emoticon when I quoted him (not in his original post), to rip the pee. Justifiably IMO.

Mrs Barista wrote:Not at all. Capacity and revenue was already going to be constrained this year and it would have been reasonable/prudent in setting the budgets to anticipate a programme delay in the context of a 3 year franchise deal. Hudgell and Rovers have registered plenty of discretionary spend over the last few years, from a large squad with 11 overseas players to a week-long overseas training camp to automated turnstiles to Willie Mason cardboard cutouts. To then say to the council, (without whom there would be no Plan A or Plan B because of Rovers inability to get any other source of funding for an adequate ground) that Rovers are losing money and it's all the council's fault is warped logic even I would have trouble dreaming up.
Pearson can do what he likes, we have no choice. He's transparent about having £60k left on the cap and has invested in a new training facility. Good lad.
I'm failing to see any distinction whatsoever.
What other source of funding is there for RL stadia? Nobody (edit - hardly anybody ) funds their own, unless they have land to sell.
Logic and consistency is for science. This is politics and the real world - what you need is a compelling narrative.

Refresh my memory, what are these substantial payments from the council you speak of?
Where you not given £1.5million by the council? NH wanted it one go .The council said no and payed it over 3 years.

Okay, I have absolutely no recollection of this. Is my mind going? Do you have a link?
Rovers posters the time may have come for me to take a seat in the corner, with a blanket over my knees - please help me avoid embarrassing myself (again). Did this happen?

You have no idea who I am, let alone who I might or might not know. And I never mentioned HCC anyway. Or even what I was told for that matter. You seem a little touchy - could it be because of this direct quote from Hudge?:
Interesting times.
I know you know absolutely nothing about this but then again you are a man who isn't from here, doesn't live here and doesn't even bother going to his own teams games so I guess you would know the internal workings of the team you don't even support.

Knowing stuff - setting the bar a bit high there for these boards!
Let's try to be friendly - and that isn't setting the bar too high, because I said 'try'
