East Stand extension all-seater? How would that work when the rest of the stand is terracing?
You're wrong about it not been an SL-standard ground. If it wasn't we would not have been promoted in 2006, and would not have got a franchise in 2008.

Why would we want the East Stand to become all-seats?
I don't see it as a job. It is a passion and love that we all share. Neil Hudgell

Apart from the fact it was falling down.
The new ground I'll admit was a terrible cheapo effort from the off, you only have to look at the Galpharm which is only about four years younger than CP to see what a wasted opportunity it was. Not that we should have built a twenty five thousand all seater stadium, but we should have come up with something better than a wind tunnel with a swamp in the middle.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
pmh.......yea but it was still a great ground in its heyday, great playing pitch, but as you say it did need updating, great times though eh,even as a fc fan a lot of my memories are still of the old boulevard and craven park..........but times move on

It would have been nice to renovate the old ground but i suppose the deal offered at the time looked too good to turn down. It probably was until the people managing it made a complete knackers of it.
Had a real reminder of old CP at The Willows t'other week. You could upgrade from the terrace to the seats for five quid. Not seen that since old CP.

I used to know a lass who trained and raced greyhounds, she used to reckon some of the other trainers stuck ginger up the greyhound's Iestyn to make them run faster. Not sure that was true mind you.
Couldn't care less if it's the worst game ever, as long as we beat you horrible people!
