Sheffield - 2 football clubs doing absolutely nothing (at least city made a go of it in the prem and stayed up) and dont even get me started on there RL side.
I never said i wanted a stadium built near the deep - i meant that for the central location to suit all fans, as the KC is not central i dont care how many 100% you put in your quote - it is in West Park in WEST Hull.
If we were getting own stadium i think East Park would be a great location but parking would be a major issue, as i wouldn't want all the park taking over.
Can you explain why you are so against East Hull having a new stadium built somewere then? Because im sure it could have speedway/Dogs/Athletics built into it which would benifit Hull on a whole with school programmes been involved ect.
Sports development grants have nothing to do with money for the homeless/drugs and the like - they are all seperate issues.
I just dont understand why anyone from Hull would be so against this happening...
Leeds have got a Super League Rugby side that are winning things year on year and didn't ask their Council to build them a ground. The football side have played Champions League soccer in this decade. Again, I do not recall Leeds Council building their ground.
Sheffield have not got a Stadium built by the Council or public money. It is a different point.
Manchester have one stadium funded by the Council and one owned by Man Utd or their owners.
Need I go on?
The community projects that you sweepingly refer to are going on now, and have gone on for years. There is no need for a fancy stadium in East Hull to continue. Maybe a leisure centre catering for 20 different sports on the site where Woodford is, I dunno, but a Stadium will not benefit any community project at all.
If you look into it the work Hull City and Hull FC do is done in Schools, at Brantingham and at Costello. They very rarely use the stadium or any of it's buildings.
If you are referring to the Internet usage for the public at the KC see the Freedom centre on preston road.
There is no logical reason for wanting a new ground other than for Rovers fans.
Even the Rovers board don't even seem to care other than to ask for some money to build a new stand with a gym underneath or whatever it is they wanted to replace the golf stand with
