I will be honest, I am new to the forum, and with my user name, yes I'm from the Wakefield area, and not Kingston upon Hull.
I am a lifelong Wakefield Trinity fan, but have been married to a Hull KR fan for 14 years. We have adopted each other's teams as 2nd clubs, so have seen quite a few Hull KR games.
Most pundits expected Hull KR to be in the MPG, I didn't. Yes I think the squad needs to be strengthened, but from what i saw in 2016, I would just say, be smarter on big name signings. For me, in 2015 and 16, you had 3, in Kelly, Blair and Campese. When they were all on the pitch at the same time, you were a real threat, unfortunately, that didn't happen often enough.
Unfortunately, it appeared that to accommodate these, it appeared that you had to keep costs down to keep the squad within budget and cap, with consequences in the MPG.
We have shown that you don't have to spend big to compete, but just spend wisely.
some clubs invest money on their stadiums and tidy them up, dont think wakey have spent a penny on theirs, it all goes on players so you are no example

Was a guy posting as Eastern Wildcat I think with similar aspects? Welcome back if so or just welcome? Fair points and it does feel a bit negative at the moment but nothing a couple of good signings won't sort. As some have said we have signed Hauraki Keinhorst Lannon plus Hall Crooks Tompkins late on and are basically new players.Tompkins in particular I think will show us his best with a full pre season.Hopefully add a half and maybe another Polynesian type forward and we are about right.Im certain the club have it sorted but are sitting on the news. Expect a big build up for unveiling
Yes there was, and I know him, though not too well.
He's decent, but having read some of his comments, he was getting, from some areas, a bit of unjustified stick. Think he's come off it for a bit.
Yes I'm sure you'll do the right thing regarding signatures.
As for the stadium, I do see your point, but I don't know if your fully aware or not, of the situation. It's a bit political, and a bit of a farce to be honest. The leader of our council is a fan, and I believe has a stake in another RL club, who falls under the WF postal and council area, who are in need of a new stadium. Can't realistically seeing us getting ours first.
Over and above that, all improvements to the area known as Wake field and the Five Towns, seem to be getting done in that area, leaving the centre to deteriorate. Think the net is slowly closing in on him, as his majority has reduced, and is becoming under increasing pressure to step down.

For me, the different trajectories we took after your difficult 2015 and eventual MPG win is one of the most obvious compare and contrasts. I’ve done our 2016 to death, and with promotion, survival and the end of the 8s it feels like we’ve got a clean slate. Which is fantastic - but as a fan base I think we’re curious, and even nervous about what the club will try to do with this opportunity. Until things become clearer, I suspect we’ll continue to overanalyse and fret.
Most of the clubs in SL, I have a fair idea of the level of success they’re targeting and how they’re doing it. Having spent two years dragging ourselves out of the mire, my own club’s ambitions for and approach to 2019 remain fairly mysterious to me, for now.

I think he's a good player, but he spends a lot of time out injured. Not sure if that's where we should be using a quota space, but would add to the let's not get bullied factor
Good signing if true, had a knee op in august but has played 72 matches since 2015,only 29 so would be welcome imo, pretty mobile and a decent ball handler, hopefully its true.
