this will hurt the club well into the future..... no self respecting player of any quality will have seen and heard of this fiasco.... not put yourselves in their shoes..... would you want to come to a club that could possibly embarrass you with the way they carry on?
as i said i am a realist... i see the damage it has caused, not just now but also for the future...

Unlike some, i am a realist, i do not look down on my club as the be all and end all no matter what happens.... i see things as they are and how they are and will tell it like it is ..like it or not..

I thought there was an RFL rule that said once you deregister a player you couldn't re-register him for the same club in the same season. Is that not correct then?
Is there another loophole or have I misread that rule?

You have to get dispensation from the RFL board. By the way, that's the best user name I've seen for ages.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.
A few thoughts on this one: 1) Mike Smith, as Chief Exex, seems to have gone AWOL as the public face of the club. Odd since General Zod. said Smith is the best communicator the club has ever had - you'd think at times like this he's be at the forefront of everything in a week of immense PR pressure. 2) Hudgell seems to be implying that Rovers took a calculated risk and knew all along that Mason would need a Tongan passport and may not get one. Yet, just 3 weeks before the signing, the HDM ran a report to say Galea would be off quota. I think it was more like poor advice that Galea would get the Maltese passport and the resulting late Tongan passport bid was the only avenue Rovers could pursue. 3) "A little bit of help with red tape"? Mate, you've come a cropper trying to get double the base amount of overseas players in. More than a little bit of help, I think. 4) On RH it sounded like Cockayne, if found guilty, is on his way out. Hudgell referenced his previous issues at the club and talked of Rovers as a family club etc. Just my opinion.
