Firstly, thats less than what Fc get at present so i fail to see how that would be a forward step, secondly as someone has already pointed out, you would still only be able to spend up to the cap in which case you could still end up where we are now but without the rivalry, imo people are wrong to assume that one team would mean guranteed success, in fact it could even have the reverse effect as the local rivalry always has and always will play a huge part in promoting interest in the game in this city. Without it that interest could dwindle and fade away especialy if the one merged team wasnt performing well, you could then end up with more people choosing to watch the local football team, assuming of course that it was doing well and perhaps in the Premeirship.

Not really a time for trolling, poop situation for both clubs at the moment but nothing that can't be turned around. Would sooner have all the rivalry and banter with both clubs battling at the top rather than the bottom.

at Hull I don't think the problem is the young players that come through it is what we decide to do with them once they make it to the first team.

Tommy Lee is a good example, given great reviews in the youth game, we then spend years changing his position from Half-Back to Hooker (and bulking him up to play there) before putting him back to the halves again...and ended up completely wasting him.

Washbrook is another who's played a variety of positons, and has become a jack of all trades and a master of none.

We've already started to mess around with whether we play Briscoe as a winger or a centre each week.

Houghton is the only recent player who we have let play one position and develop into a top player.

I thought i'd let them contribute to the situation seeing as though for the second year running we are both turning out pathetic performances at the same time on a consistant basis

What you deserve in life and what you get don't often match. And I don't see that we're any more entitled to success than any other set of fans.

We're 2 and 4 - bit cack, but hardly a catastrophe.
