I,ve posted on fc website that were going to end up as feeder clubs for the so called big four and there will be nothing we can do about it.I personally think that neither team will compete for honours in sl because of the talent drain of having to teams in sl.We were a better team when you were in the northern ford because we didn't have to compete with you for younger talented players in our city, this is no way a dig but the raelity is there for all to see.
at Hull I don't think the problem is the young players that come through it is what we decide to do with them once they make it to the first team.
Tommy Lee is a good example, given great reviews in the youth game, we then spend years changing his position from Half-Back to Hooker (and bulking him up to play there) before putting him back to the halves again...and ended up completely wasting him.
Washbrook is another who's played a variety of positons, and has become a jack of all trades and a master of none.
We've already started to mess around with whether we play Briscoe as a winger or a centre each week.
Houghton is the only recent player who we have let play one position and develop into a top player.
