People on both sides need to grow up as after a sucessful testimonial for a good servant of the game we shouldn't end up moaning and groaning about something as petty as this.
Petty?
A load of Robins were going to boycott the Horne game .... or is that forgotten about now you have something to moan about? Not to mention your board as already implemented a ban on our mascot in 2007 without even giving a reason.

How about we make this simple, i personally will wear Lee's Rufus costume at the next game, and take a big steaming dump at the front of "chav corner"?
Im sure they would welcome Lee back instead of me then

Posted on the FC board.

Rovers jestured to the crowd in a very provocative way at the Derby. The SMC have sent a letter to the person wearing the outfit saying that he, not the mascot is banned from The KC. Rufus is not banned from the KC.
There is a code of conduct for all mascots set by the RL and this obviouly over steps that too, so no doubt the RL will get involved, however as I see it it has nothing to do with our club at all!! It is perhaps a bit over the top butis certainly not acceptable behaviour at a family sport, from someone on the pitch with a level of responsibility! If a player did it there would be calls for his head!!! But I stress it is the SC that has deemed this unreasonable behaviour and not the club!
highlighted bit is from a senior member of staff at FC. Also note the last sentance.

Okay, so now it is an SMC issue and not the doings of dastardly James Rule (glad I joined this thread late), the issue is a bipartisan one of whether the action is justified in response to the 'very provocative gestures'. Wiggling of a covered bottom would not be, IMO. Shaking your hand to mimic you-know-what (ooh, I've come over all Victorian) would be out of order - from a mascot.
Hull fans should be free to sing about Justin Morgan's mum, without fear of having a 7 foot tall cartoon robin waving his foam wing at them!

Wow, so there really isn't a person inside a costume?
