Pity Super league came to late at Craven Park for the big man. He was a loyal player at Rovers and turned down big money moves across the city and will be regarded as one of Rovers legends.

And still turns out in Rovers colours week in week out for the Rovers legends team in the RFL organised touch rugby comps when they are held down at Craven Park. Top bloke. Pace has gone though.

Yup an absolute top guy and a gentleman, and whilst his loyalty is to be admired i know i would have loved to see him playing at a higher level where i'm sure international honours would have come his way.

Fletch should have toured in 1992 in my opinion when he was at the height of his game. Was a better player than Gary Price, Michael Jackson and Billy Mcginty.
As far as his lad is concerned he is certainly as big as his old man and anybody who can play Conference rugby in the front row at 18 years of age must have something about them.
