As I'm sure you're aware, it was originally run by one of our countries unsung heroes, Jonathan Silver.
Art is not about cost my dear, it's about ideas and worth.
What's Hockney displaying at the moment, are there any of his East Coast works on display?
You must at least have liked the kitchen shop, loads of old Hornsea Pottery stuff on display there.

. I feel a bit aggrieved that you say I can only appreciate things with a financial value, when I am essentially the most sentimental person imaginable. I've seen Gone with the Wind a million times and always cry at the end of that. I see beauty and value in a whole myriad of things, from the smile of a child to a sublime melody to a great Victoria sponge cake to Tom Briscoe rolling Peter Fox into touch. Don't judge me because I think a painting of a cereal box holding hands with a chair is only marginally more rubbish than a pair of handmade felt earrings in the shape of strawberries.
