I laugh because I cant believe there are people on here who are actually going to pay £60 for little benefit just because they are told it is a good idea!!

I suppose they will have a nice membership card though, that will help pull a bird or get into Pozition no doubt, real status

Why not just give more fans the opportunity to become shareholders?

I'm proud to be a shareholder even if i have no say in what happens at the club.

I'm going to hold mine while rocking back and forth, watching games on teletext.
Assuming the brochure and details on the website are accurate the 'roving' membership is fantastic valuable - so fantastic I wonder if I have misunderstood or there has been a mistake. That certainly doesn't seem to be about profiteering.

Now, whether or not the pass savings on the normal membership are being inflated by increasing the cost of the full price season tickets, there is more to membership than than the warm glow of a charitable donation.

Maybe it is a fantastic brochure, however I am yet to meet anyone who will be paying it, only people who are quick to say "**** that, I aint stumping up even more cash"

Maybe Hull KR fans were the wrong people to aim such a brilliant scheme at, after all they have bills and stuff to pay.

That would offer even less of a return. Unless the club broke even (which is something it should aspire to), shareholders would have to shovel in more cash every year, or see their shareholding diluted, becoming increasingly nominal.

Season ticket prices frozen at the discounted 2009 price for members for two years was the point which swung it for me.

The Roving membership is a knock-out an' all - I hope it doesn't impinge too much on my mate Nigel's dvd market and the JRs Guess the Points (link in sig)!

£260 for West Stand

£260 notes?! To quote my very good friend, Reenyrobin, "Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans!"

FC's most expensive seats were £215 last season and we had until 31st December to pay for them. I know you get better rugby to watch, but still.

That may be the more pertinent point. In slight mitigation, with membership you get two years for £480, plus the 'nominal' renewal fee.
