They tried it with my mother-in-law she said if it need doing that her son-in-law (me) will sort it.
No doubt if she had been taken in she would have been directed to either give them her e-mail address or look on a certain website.
Just be careful, I do hope they telephone me however as I will tie them in knots with the questions I will ask them
'How do you know this telephone number ties to this IP address?'
'Do you know the name of my service provider'
'What updates have I downloaded recently'
'What OP am I using'
'What version of that OP am I using'
At which point I will tell them to make love and leave.
I am familiar with an OS but not the term OP.
I too have had one of these calls, and I just told them that it was strange because I am running Linux and not windoze. They then promptly hung up.
