I don't think it'll necessarily be lack of ambition if he stays, but if he does/did go I'd be happy for him. Leeds are obviously a better team than us and he wants to play full representative rugby.

I hope he stays. Clearly he needs to improve his much maligned defence (although as has been much discussed that's not just a technical aspect of his game, it was also a game plan thing) and I suppose that depends whether he thinks he's best of with McDermott or Sandercock.

Kris is up and coming do not dispute that. He's a good player and in all fairness i'd be pretty gutted if Leeds had come in for me and the bid was rejected! Opportunity. He may now stall on his deal at Craven Park! But hey I am unsure.

I'd be very surprised if this came off as the article sates he wants to stay with you guys. It seems that a number of agents look to use supposed interest from Leeds to bump up the contract for their player. Don't get me wrong, I like the lad and would welcome any deal that would bring him to Headingley and if Santa gave us Dobson as well that would make our Christmas.

I am unsure on that, but from what I have seen no offence to Kris as he is still improving but Smith would edge it for me. But dont get me wrong more potential in Kris.

You're right. He has struggled to regain the same form that he had prior to his ill fated trip to the dark side. If Welham was a straight swap for Smith I'd bite your hand off.

At least it shows the club are starting to get things right, we just need to start a production line of them like Leeds Saints & Wigan do. Then we will have to offload as we wont be able to fit them in the salary cap (a nice thought)

Never seen Smith as a centre or full back. Think he's adequate cover in those positions but much prefer him on the wing. Kris too can cover all those positions but he is a very good centre. He gets a lot of stick for his defence and sure it needs looking at but much of that is the way he has been asked to defend.
