Would be unbelieveable if we can but just think they'll be too much into their stride by then really, still lethal when they want to be eh.
Still a good side yes are the saints. But rovers went to their place a couple of years ago when saints were flying higher than they are now,and came away with a 20-19 win! So keep the faith and don't ever be beaten before you have got off the bus. A couple of my mates used to play for wires and told me that was our problem for many years with our saints hoodoo, half the wire team were beaten as soon as the engine of the coach was switched off upon arriving at the ground. I don't think warrington will win both trophies. If we retain the cup we won't win the grand final. If we lose the cup we will win the grand final. So I predict more silverware for my team, but it won't be a clean sweep.
Parry Gordon's passes,Les Boyd's strong runs,Mike Gregory's workrate,Des Drummond's tries,Jonathan Davies' sheer genius...........oh,and Alan Rathbone's punches! All memories of the legendary venue which was Wilderspool stadium. Gone maybe, but never, ever forgotten.

Yeah that makes sense tbf. When you say about winning one but not the other, do you think it's a mental thing or just too demanding physically / number of games these days? Just curious cos am I right in thinking that it's 5 years since a team (Saints) did the double?

I think it's just to demanding mentally and physically. Look at Warrington last season, along with Leeds the only other team not to have a single week's rest throughout the season, the play offs were to much for both teams, warrington looked shattered when they lost the play off game v giants. The cup final and the grand final are to close together in my opinion. Just over a month after winning at wembley we were trying to get to old trafford. It's a big ask.

Fully agree, cannot understand why they moved it, IMO May was absolutely perfect. Was it something to do with TV ratings? (think I read something before about this - the figures for the last few May finals had dipped perhaps?). Doesn't really make sense though because you'd think August would be a really bad month for TV channels / ratings because people are outdoors most at this time of the year surely...
