The only "Timely Boost" to be seen at this derby will be Mr Long.

Long's been quoted as targeting the derby since the last derby. For a proper timely boost, he'd be said to be targeting the match the week after, then miraculously be declared fit either on the Thursday or Friday. We expect Long to play. We expect Newton to play. The difference is that Morgan imagines there is some advantage in pretending Newton won't make it. It's Rovers turn to win anyway. On the unofficial board they are planning the entrance into work a week on Monday apparently when Rovers are above FC in the table. If you're that confident, the presence of Newton is probably a minor detail.

Newton's original target was the last derby, so I'm not taking too much stock by player targets. I fully expect Rovers to lose this, afterall, you can't be expected to drop points to bottom half clubs like ours whilst still chasing the top 4 (I read other forums as well).

The level of delusion on the other forum is quite embarrasing. Your frequent references allow me to keep in touch with the debate from a safe distance.

Didn't you say that Newton would be playing in the last derby as a timely boost?
How did that work out for you?

Like the last derby?
