From an outsiding looking in, for you to move onto the next level, the main position is hooker, all the top sides have good hookers, such a key position.
FB I would let Briscoe go and use Cockayne and Sheriff.
Another prop is essential too, seem that most of the top SL players are already signed up, teams will also struggle to sign overseas players due to the exchange rate and increase in SL in the NRL.

David Hodgson is available though and he would do a good job, is still a great finisher. Isn't he a Hull lad (and HKR fan)??
Don't know if he's a Rovers fan but he is from East Hull, Longhill iirc.
I think we need two props, a hooker and a winger. No idea where they'll come from though.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I'd agree with that, though one prop would be enough if we promote and retain the right players. Hodgson would be an option for the wing, but is approaching 30. Ainscough only signed for one year at Bradford and would be a younger, more exciting (if certainly more erratic) choice.
1 visit to the polynesian prop factory, 1 Shaun Ainscough or David Hodgson, 1 Tommy Lee (ducks and covers).
The times they are a-changing - retention is the new recruitment, I reckon.

Should try target Harrisen Hansen from Wigan, failing that, audacious bids for Roby or Luke Robinson!!

I personally wouldn't touch Ainscough with a 10 foot pole ( I dont know any ten foot Poles before anyone starts!). His defence is appalling. I don't think he fits the Morgan template for a winger. Hodgson would be a much better bet in the short/medium term, although he would have to be sensible over his wage demands - I understand he is on a v.good deal at Hudds.
Big prop & new hooker are the 2 priorities for external recruitment. However, the priority should be to sign up some existing players in this order:
1. Taylor 2. Galea 3. Briscoe 4. Watts 5. Cook
After that, I would consider letting the rest leave, Vella is past it, Colbon is way too average and Cockayne embarrasses the club too often.

I would give Rob Worrincey a shot from Halifax, go for Jon Wilkin, we need to keep Scott Taylor and I would give James Green from the reserves a full time contract also. We need another hooker but cnt think of a suitable realistic replacement in the UK, I like Matty Smith, does he play hooker ? and would be good cover for the half backs, then there is the old chesnut, how about Andy Ellis ?
