Because one player is not a registered rovers player with no Tongan passport in sight and I've personally seen no evidence to suggest Newton is fit. Trust me though, nothing would give me greater pleasure than being proved wrong and them both running out on Friday

Ok we will soon see come Friday and same here would love them to run out how do u not know that rovers have the passport and re registering Dobbo this week in time for the derby, rovers will be keeping things quiet until they need to speak up and let the fans know.

I don't think otherwise, I have no info either way.
They will have to announce it by tomorrow tho as the 19 for the derby will be released, wont be able to add him after that time.

Rovers keep things quiet? That'll be a first ... if said passport is about, I can't see how this wouldn't have been leaked from one of the usual sources and why we would wait until this week to re-register Michael Dobson?
I'm with El Camo, I can't really see either of them playing. If Newton was semi fit, you'd have fancied he'd have had an outside shot @ Wigan on Friday - has he even started full training/contact yet? As it is, he’s probably only reaching the ‘outside shout’ stage now.
If Rovers did have the passport then why wait to re-register Dobson? App he’s not allowed to train until he has been registered - so why wait? And same again, is Dobson even fit enough to start full training?
Just because JM states they're both will play doesn't for one minute mean this is a certainty. Put it this way, by been so blunt and saying they're playing just gives Hull something to think about. Because as we know, Rovers are completely different team with Dobson/Newton in it.
If they’re fit and ready to go, great – play them. But if not, then there’s no point in rushing them back. The remaining fixtures are far more important than the easter programme against FC and Quins.

The whole timely boost thing - holding good news in reserve? Given the way news of his de-registration was handled (or at least Hull KR's perception of it), I can see why they would want to manage how his re-registration is reported. At the bottom of this story from March 29th... http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/sport/Vella-faces-race-return-time-Saints-test/article-3380868-detail/article.html Morgan indicates good news is expected on the passport in the near future. Now, we've been expecting that since January, so how realistic that hope has turned out to be, is difficult to guess. And there would also be an obvious motivation for creating ambiguity the other way too. Our club knows, hopefully the other doesn't - and maybe we can take a tiny edge from that.

absolutely. I can't work out whether it is a bluff or a double bluff - or even just chatroom random derby speculation. Which is nice - adds some intrigue to the battle for 11th!

You're beginning to sound like a certain black n' white - did u know, she told us about the timely boost 8 weeks ago?
Like Ned Stark and Cersei Lannister are me and Mrs B. Except I've never decapitated anyone and she isn't that close to her brother.

Sky Atlantic tonight? I think you're more of an Adam West fellow and Mrs B a Julie Newmar from 60s TV Batman. Not wanting to leave anyone out Roverswall can be Burt Ward.
On topic > big game for 11th. Need to be switched on from the start, although going behind hasn't been a bad thing from some games this season.

Aye - be interesting to see if it 'works' on TV. I've got a lot of faith in HBO, but serious epic fantasy is going to be a tricky one to judge.

Goodbye Kritika, hello Julie...

Wise man - I think the time has come for a chat thread...
