The better half has had a vicious cold for over 2 weeks and I'd managed to avoid it, Got it yesterday at the game and She's well and better now. It's a nasty one though, I keep meaning to ask pmh for a home remedy but the symptom list is endless!

This time last year I lasted all day at work with a terrible headache, Got home and the light was terrible and I started getting hot sweats, The better half tried to convince me it was just man flu and that I should stop being a wuss, Cut a long story short; Doctor came to the house at 8pm and referred me to the hospital where I got treated for Bacterial Meningitis and had 4 Lumbar Puncture's courtesy of a Student Nurse too! Needless to say I've not taken medication for a headache since as they aren't a patch on the pounding headache that night.

All I will say is, If someone says its more than a headache.. Ridicule them for a little while and if there's still no sign of a smile, consult a Doctor!
Luckily She's a Nurse and put together the headache and photophobia, Worried a little bit, took my temperature and then worried more and got a Doctor out.
BTW: They linked it to E.coli, Bad egg from a butty van near the office the day before.

Cripes mate, thats terrible. My stepson contracted meningitis when he was only 6 on Christmas day. It was only the fact that the hospital was empty when he was rushed in that saved him.
