people are still suffering in hull from our own floods even after such a long length of time, i myself was unfortunate, made doubly unfortunate as i lost almost evertything due to the fact i never had house insurance etc, so have had to start over from scratch almost, my only fortunate thing from that time is i was a council tennant and as such the council has done most of the restoration work.
but i received jack all from anybody, nor did i ask for anything.... bad things happen
the floods here hardly compare to those in aus.
the size of the area that has been flooded is unbelievable makes the floods here look like a puddle
when you say we suffered, i'd hardly call it suffering apart from the family of the man stuck in the drain in hessle.
how do you know aussies didnt donate anything to the floods here?
not having your own insurance isn't unfortunate its foolish.
just because they are a relatively wealthy country doesnt mean we should just ignore them
