When Hull FC fans talk about their successes in S/L, up there are the C/C win, the playoff final, and of course, the Nines and a friendly win against Hull KR(which counts towards 3 wins over us this season) , "where you finish is academic if you don't win sliverware" doesn't seem to come into the equation where Hull FC are concerned. It seems an Elimination semi-final is not quite as an important achievement as a friendly win, "in the Hull FC scheme of things."

Maybe our board members are fans and are prepared and can afford to do so. Only one chairperson, AFAIK, takes a fair chunk of the fans money out of the club every year as a salary.
