Not just Welham at fault again last night for some of the awful defending on our left hand side defence. But he plays a big part in it, Dobson caught out also on a number of occasions too. I'm suprised we wasn't punished more in this area.

He is a reasonable squad player.

He has shown over the last two seasons he is tactically naive with persistently shooting out of the line which creates space for the opposition, Cas realised that last night and used it well. He tackles inconsistently and has difficulty passing to his winger for some reason.

Ratu needs to be tried to see if he is a better option.

I suggest you watch last night's game again. Welham has a very good tackling ability. Yes, he sometimes jumps out of the line, which sometimes leads teams to scoring, but it can also prevent tries. Haven't seen a lot of Ratu, but he has a lot of improving to do if he wants to replace Welham.
