Rovers had no choice in the matter, he wanted to return to Australia and in fact he had tried to obtain a place with a NRL side the season he came back to the UK and signed for Doncaster/Rovers.

But Crossman was a good quality NRL player at the time, thats why JM signed him. Do you think he thought 'Tandy is great, but I think I will dump him for a really rubbish prop from Oz'
