This thread is nicely balanced, fans of the poorer team in the Wigan postal area supporting Rovers, and fans of the poorer team in the Hull postal area supporting Wigan.

I wont be supporting Wigan. Even though i am an ardent Hull supporter i will not exactly be cheering the dobbins on i will be quietly hoping they win.

I know what you mean. Call me old fashioned but I can never forgive the "Manchester United" mentality of the pies in the 80s and 90s. If it was any other team but Rovers... The Amos factor is a draw, though.

I got a lot of family who support the dark side so it may be a factor in my decision.

The only snag is,we will never hear the last of it.
