They would all be delighted to see the back of 'surrender' Nick but no one dare say it. He used to be warned about knees up in the tackle but that was a season or two ago when he actually made it to the line

Bit of a head-scratcher this one. They don't know whether to say he's poor and Rovers can do better to support Fozzard being released, or to continue to praise his influence and character in case he stays.

If he were being transferred to FC, they'd be a riot of "He's 33 next year anyway, clearing out our deadwood" etc, nothing more certain.

And he would be a disruptive influence in the dressing room

As would your lot, in a similar situation.

I'll climb off the fence to say I hope he stays, without equivocation. You need a balance of athleticism and impact in the props. That balance might be shifting, but if Fozzard followed Makali out the door we might sign Thackray, then you and I would both need counselling. I'll wait for a report from a more reputable news source before I book my appointment though.

I would LOVE it if you signed Thackray, for the back-pedalling that it would cause on here if not the bad influence he brings wherever he goes. He's not all bad though, he was a fantastic January.
