Why dont you Hull fans go back to spunking over the signings of 30+ players who may bring plastic success to a once very good youthful team that you've let deterrierate to a point of no return!

A club that could rival Leeds Rhino's for player development, one of the best scholarship schemes in the country, a team that was a front runner at giving young players a chance...and now Sean Long, Craig Fitzgibbon...etc as great as these players are why wasn't Anthony Thackeray given the tuition to be a quality player as was expected, why did Tommy Lee fail at becomming a half back something he did so well in his youth?

The way Hull FC are going Danny Houghton must be pooin his pants at how poor Hull are going to make him, the Briscoe brothers obviously went to the same school as Paul King because they're sure deluded to think their development is going anywhere under the current Hull FC structures!

I now know why Ray French has given up commentating...Hull FC have offered him a 4yr playing contract

We're coming to make some noise!

Cant see any mention off minutes spent on the pitch, so with scotty playing a few games off the bench and dowes playing nearlly 70 mins per game i dont think those stats show a fair reflection

Sorry what's your point again?

FC sign only players over 30? New players for the 2010 squad in addition to Fitz and Long are Jack Briscoe (17), Denis Touffour (20) Jordan Turner (tbc)(20), O'Meley (28 ) in addition to 2 added this season but who have barely played - Tansey (22) and Lauaki (25). Only 2 out of 8 that are over 30.

Or that the average age of our squad is borderline geriatric? It's 25 for 2010, which incidentally is the same as Rovers (and that's excluding Aizue and Gene).

Or that young players coming through at FC don't get a chance at SL level? Washbrook broke through in 2006 and has played 73 SL games, Hall in 2007, Houghton and Briscoe in 2008, Burnett in 2009, in addition to bringing through the likes of Lee, Wheeldon, Hodgson...

I agree that Agar is a weak coach, but to rant that Hull's youth development and retention is in ruins is a bit dramatic.

To be fair Morgan apears to have an eye for the players who will fit into his system. I wonder why he still keeps some & lets others go but we are doing OK at the moment. He sees & talks to them day in day out & can judge thier temprament & commitment to the team. I would rather see young kids from our club given the chance (Esders for example) rather than raid our friends accross town, but that is an ideal world.
As an aside I still think that the black & whites will be up near the top next year with a fit squad & the new signings, then with a bit of good fortune the rest of the league will be wondering which side of the city the trophys will be going to.
