Most weddings are booked months in advance. The football fixture list didn't come out until 11th June. If I were an FC supporter wanting to get married at the KC I wouldn't risk it potentially being on a Saturday in the football season when City were at home. Similarly if I were a City fan wanting to get married at the KC, I wouldn't risk it potentially being on a Saturday when City were away. But clearly the availability of the KC on one particular day is enough for you to conclude it's an unpopular wedding venue per se.

If this was me I would be absolutely gutted. One of the biggest days of your life and you get told you've got to rearrange it at the last minute, nightmare. I hope they still manage to enjoy it, but reckon this could impact on future bookings for Rovers, perhaps they ought not to take bookings, or take them with an agreement that the couple are aware that there is a high risk during the season that they may have to cancel.
