With JM saying that Fitzhenry will be leaving Rovers due to the drop in the quota, and him being the only quota player OOC, I think we can deduce the following:
Our 5 quota, plus 2 non-fed this year are:
Quota - Webster, Newton, Galea, Dobson and Fitzhenry.
Non-fed - Vella and Fisher.
Our 6 (max 5 quota) under contract for 2010 are:
Webster, Newton, Galea, Dobson, Vella and Fisher.
Unless one of these were to leave there will be no new signings from overseas. With only Webster and Galea OOC at the end of 2010, it is most likely that at least one of them will be leaving at the end of next year.
I know we have mocked the implementation of the new rules, but I can see us going 3 successive off-seasons with no imports - last, this one coming and the one after that.
Competition for good British players is going to be stiff, in the next few years!

What have you clarified? even the RFL don't know whats happening, could have sworn that they changed the Quota rules on players already here before a certain date

That despite being non-fed (rather than quota) and here since before Feb 2008, Fisher and Vella will still count towards the total - at least until the end of their current contracts.
With 4 other overseas players already under contract for 2010, there is no currently no room for any overseas signings.
We can therefore presumably forget about players like Mannering that we have been linked with - unless there is an unexpected departure.
Any new players brought in to the club will already be playing over here.
All this assumes that JM has a better idea about the rules than us!

Wasn't Crossman contracted to be here this year also and not replaced ?

Good point. He'll have been quota too, won't he? So either something was amiss last year or the way I've interpreted JM's comments is wrong or one of the players I've listed as quota is only non-fed (which matters less now). Or possibly something else. Its like nailing jelly to a wall, trying to work out this rule.
