I was born in '84 so dont know masses about that era but what I do know is that in recent years we've gone through the mill, hit rock bottom and James gave us that bit of class we were missing that knitted a set of average players together to make one machine.
Millward was a fantastic player probably the best this country has ever had but for our club the most influencial I'd still argue Webster should hold this crown??
I appreciate we're talking different era's Nick, and it wasn't a dig at you because from your point of view, yeah Webbo will be up there as the best signing in the time you've been watching Rovers, which I'm guessing is from the late eighties early nineties.
But Millward was a different class, and again through age, I wasn't around when he first signed, but I was around for the last few years and everything you hear about the legend, is right.
One thing for Webster though, in years to come, they will speak of Webster in the same manner they do of Millward, and that is of the highest praise I can give to the Ginger Maestro.
