Retiring at the end of this year, but staying at the club in a mentoring role.
I'd have loved for him to go around again but he's a consumate professional and the fact he's said he can't do it again but is staying is fantastic news.

Very good player and he’s had a great career.
Interesting that his new role will be a new role. As I read it, he’ll be supporting with the transition of young players into the first team.
I still wonder if something more radical might be effective but realistically the club is committed to trying to make the system work better. There’s some sort of issue there, and I wouldn’t be surprised if confidence/self belief is part of it.
