In two minds about this one. TS knows what he is doing, I hope. I like a busy waspish type of half, other teams hate them, yes his defence needs work, but a lot of smaller players unfortunately to tend to get targeted. Millward got battered regularly, but jeez, what a player(and he could tackle). Not saying Lewis is that standard, but he has got real promise. Just hope he benefits to our advantage from the loan, and that we have an immediate recall clause in case we need him back quick.

Should be good experience for him at a good level. At 19 he’s maybe not quite ready to be playing SL week in and week out, but as TS said recently, it’s not good for the younger players not to be playing at all.

It depends on how it goes and what the reason is for it. There's a really interesting article on BBC Sport about Dean Henderson pretty much demanding to go out on loan to learn his trade. This is the way Lewis should approach this, James Ford is one of the most respected coaches outside of SL, he needs to learn, but mostly be nurtured and developed.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

It was always out of the question that Mikey Lewis would play week in week out.
Very exciting that he has gone to York with the brief of playing at full back. In the modern game fullbacks don't do too much one on one defending and Mikey has the running skills and footwork to cause havoc running into space from the back.
He'll be playing at a very good level in a good team so let's see what he can do.
