For me although it was a reasonably entertaining game it was one where quality was very thin on the ground. The skill levels of Rovers halves were appallingly poor and the service from dummy half was at times so slow i thought i was watching an action replay!! Loads of effort and endevour but there were plenty of players for whom the basics seem alien.
Wasn't sure what to make of it all to be honest.
On the plus side though, i thought Louis Sherriffe was outstanding.
I think you are being a bit harsh to be honest. That was the highest standard reserves game that i have seen this season. Agree about the halves and hooker but to be fair they were makeshift halves with Bell currently playing his way back from injury in the under 18s. The distribution from hooker will improve 100% when Joe Gay moves up from the 18s which i reckon will happen any week now.
Sherriff looks a bit special doesnt he. I like the look of Chris Heil aswell. Big lad for a centre who i reckon will cause some damage with some good service.
