Hi all - just an appeal for your help. I'm involved with a lottery-funded project which is looking into the importance of pubs to local communities in Hull. The Crooked Billet on Ings Road is one of the pubs we're concentrating on, and we'd be grateful for anyone's stories, reminiscences, anecdotes etc. It's always had a strong Rovers connection, and it seems that Board meetings were held there in the 1960's, which we'd like to discover more about. Similarly, we are also looking at the (new) White Hart near Drypool Bridge, if anyone frequented there. You can pm me and I'll get back to you. Many thanks

Honourable project this considering how busy you must be on the telly with Holly Willowbooby.
Good luck with it.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
