Still wonder what might have been had we not got promoted in 06, or the year after at the latest.
And still have to pinch themselves when you see Rovers competing with the best week in week out.
It's good to have a reality check now and again and appreciate where we have come from.

We'd be similar to Halifax (with all due respect) at best.
If we hadn't gone up in 2006 and survived in 2007 I think that there would have been absolutely no chance of getting a licence.
Crowds would be around the 2000 mark and we'd have no academy to speak of.
Grim is how it would be.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I think it all worked out for the best. We'd have being promoted too early the extra year(s) gave us the time to build our license application and put some structures in place that are paying dividends today. The squad that got us promoted where far better by a long way. Testament is by looking at how many came up to play in our 1st season and equitted themselves really really well. But how far we've come in a short space of time still amazes me.
