Following Rovers and Rugby League in general will never be the same again.
Stan is one of those rare people in sport who can transcend beyond what he does on the field to reach people off it. After 10 years (I gave up after that!) of trying to indoctrinate Ms. pmh into TGG, she's never once understood what the fuss is all about, but every time she's Stan play, from a very murky East Hull afternoon against Widnes in 1997 ("He's the only one that can run!") to the Plate Final and from meeting him on a couple of occasions she's almost been convinced!
Thank You Stanley Gene, it's been a pleasure and very much a privilege.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Thanks for all the wonderful memories Stan. I have changed my username to honour you.
It would be ironic if he ends up at Fev, as it was at P.O. Road where my favourite Stan memory took place in 1999 when he was leaving the 1st time around.
