I enjoyed visiting Craven Park a hundred times more than the KC.
Hull KR supporters generally seem to be a much more genuine lot than the West side of the city and unlike the KC there was never any threat of anything 'kicking off'
I'm sure these comments will annoy genuine Hull FC supporters, but unfortunately your neighbours show how supporting your team is done correctly.

The thing with thackrey is how many chances do you give a player before you realise he's just that way out and will never change. His comments when leaving Leeds aimed at the coach summed up his attitude and he seems to have gone a similar way with FC's heirarchy. FC gave him a way back into SL and he seems to have thrown that back at them so if i was an SL team I stay well clear regardless of what the pro's are in relation to his playing abilities.
Thackray's at his best when he has a new club and a "point to prove". He's done this many times at Halifax, Cas, Hull, Leeds, Doncaster and Hull again. TBH this season he must have been sidelined through off the field issues as well as injuries - on form whilst not outstanding he offered more impact than most in our pack (not difficult, I know). Maybe a pay as you play contract would get the best out of him. Whilst he's been a complete idiot off the pitch, including being a declared bankrupt, I still like him. And not just because he's the best "January" ever.

Thacks is a good player and it seems he has yet again fallen out with the coach. What the reasons behind it are i don't know but he is a good impact prop who can do a job in SL IF he can be sorted out. Would only offer a 1 year deal because if problems arise it is easier to get rid.
thefact he's been to hull, to leeds, back to hull and away again suggests that may well be wishful thinking.

I used to think that just because he played poorly in derbies, my judgement of him was negatively skewed. Then Wilf says in his diary that he had his best games against us. Was good once, I'm sure, but now has the impact of an 80-minuter, playing in short spells off the bench. The FC fans (well, some) love him but even his most ardent admirers are relieved, if not pleased, to see him go.
Bibb would be alright and and in line with our current recruitment strategy. Don't think he is OOC though and Wakefield have let a few go.
Thackray is the sort of player we need, but there are big doubts over his professionalism. His stats for 2009 aren't bad - compare with Fozzard for example on the SL site. A one year with strings and conditions attached might be okay - might be okay.
Remember too that Lovegrove wasn't regarded by most as a prop going into the year. Mills has been anonymous, but was a steady member of the 17 throughout 2008. Plus Watts will be 20 during next season and 6 or 8 games would really help his development IMO.

Didn't King publicly state he 'hated' Rovers a few years ago, if so he can pi$$ off to the NL for me. Once saw him in a taxi queue with another FC player in town, trying to push to the front and saying 'do you know who I am'. The blokes a useless to$$er.

and you think paul king would be your worst ever signing?
I don't doubt that you have been going since the 60's, if you ask all rovers fans a high percentage will say they've been going since they we're kids. It's the years they didn't go in the 90's and early 2000's that the problem, which is highlighted by the statement of king being potentially the worst signing ever
and if it is purely for his off field antics even signings you will recall like michael smith, paul cooke, byron ford and ben cockayne are far worse.

Season ticket since leaving the Navy in 1983 and prior to joining in 1973.
I think King could be a massive cock up if we signed him, he might not be the worst PLAYER in ability terms, but there again we have some who list a world class Aussie international (Boustead) as our worst signing. I look beyond a players ability on the pitch (which King is now NL level) and look at the overall package and with a player like King, we would be buying trouble.
Saying that, I seriously doubt Hull KR would touch him with a barge pole
