They seem to have a coach who wants to introduce wrestling techniques and spoiling tactics. Or anything else on the borderline of legality that might give his side an edge.
That's very good for Huddersfield but very bad for Super League as a spectacle.
I do believe that last season they wouldn't have got away with half of it. But the stats show that refs are awarding only half the penalties this year than last. Great news for the spoilers.
Sooner or later if this is not stopped every team will follow suit. For the good of Super League as a whole the RFL must instruct referees to clamp down.
and same goes for your coach im afraid
anyway seems most of you are pretty realistic and understand that your team were beaten by a bigger, better, more skilful and more powerful side
i thought the referee was fine, considering the east stand screamed and wailed for everything at every tackle and every play the ball he could have let that affect him and played to the crowd,as it was he did ok but to be fair i couldnt see regarding the offsides and forward passes so cant comment,
what i do know is that we are a very physical side who wont be bullied like we have been in the past, and as you guys saw we can also play some very good rugby league , penalty count was 5-5 i beleive with only one referal to the disciplinary this week...chev walker..so i guess there was no foul play or anythnig bordering on illegal
