I think the club should impose some sort of punishment, however I think sacking him would limit the opportunities for him to atone for his sins. Some good could come out of this situation but I think most could be gained by him being retained within the club, not outside of it.
Sack him and you basically put him on the market for other clubs to pick up, the RFl have to act at some point and if they do it now thye have to be consistant when Pryce/Reardon get theres. A line in the sand has to start somewhere
