wanted to pop on to you guys to say well done for a good turn out today! You certainly did yourselves proud, and made a load of noise! Let's be fair, the injuries in the Barrow Squad, losing the two on loan from us, and the fact that Michael Mcguire fielded the strongest squad he could, meant you guys should've had no chance of getting anywhere, but i thought your lads played excellently, and you could see the passion and despiration to stay in the game, right up to the last 10 minutes when the captain had a little chat saying "come on lads, 10 minutes left, we can get in this", of course, there was no chance of pulling back to 52pts, but hats off for staying in it to the last second! And to you fans, you never stopped singing, and never stopped having fun, and we didn't see any dwindling numbers heading for the door! Ultimately, you guys turned up in numbers that justified the opening of our North Stand, which a couple of superleague clubs failed to do last season. The lone barrow fan walking past ASDA who had a little fun with us, our car-horn & his lil hooter (oo-er!), certainly made us laugh. Although your challenge cup dreams are over for 2011, I hope you guys take away a positive, you gave The Superleague 2010 Champions a tougher game than many anticipated, and I sincerely hope to see you up in SuperLeague soon! God knows the team, and you as fans probaby deserve it! Much love! & Good Luck! |

Nearly 1,000 of you, way more than lots of SL clubs bring, and credit to the lads on the pitch too, they deserved your applause for the way they kept competing. |
