Saints’ Heritage Society in conjunction with the Original Supporters Club and the Rugby League Collectors Federation are holding at Programme Fayre and Rugby League Memorabilia Auction at the Black Bull on Knowsley Road, St. Helens on Saturday 12th June 2010.
Commencing at 10.00am, old Programmes, Photographs, Badges, Collectors Cards and other Rugby League Memorabilia will be both on sale and display.
There will be two book signings taking place. Kel Coslett will be signing copies of ‘A Welsh Saint’ and Tom Mather will be present to sign ‘Best in the Northern Union’.
Saints' Heritage Society will be selling a limited edition print of former Saints and Wigan 'great' Alf Ellaby...in Great Britain kit. Each print is available framed and signed by Harry Pimblett, Alf's team-mate at St.Helens in the late 1930s. They will sell for £20 and proceeds will go to the Saints' Past Players Association.
The RLCF Auction that begins at 12.30pm has the potential to be their best Auction todate with 120 items going under the hammer. The highlights of the sale being a 1954 France v England ‘World Cup Final’ programme, a 1935 programme between St. Helens Recs and Wigan and a framed Bradford Northern Centenary Shirt produced in 2007 signed by all of the club’s living legends who formed part of their ‘Team of the Century’. Admission is free of charge.
