All I ask is for Barrow who get bigger crowds than most National League sides and if ya didn't notice are sitting second in the league after just being promoted, get a bit of recognition for the hardwork thats been done at Craven Park.

You are getting bigger crowds partly because you are not on TV

The thursday night games dont pull the crowds in as many home fans decide to stay in the pub and getting up to barrow for a 7.30 kick off would be difficult even for Haven fans

Also the sky set up team have to be able to get to the friday SL match in enough time to get set up again

They generally follow the SL match sticking to whatever area that match is to be played

If say Saints or Wigan are on on Friday night they will feature a Lancashire match on the thursday

If say Hull or HKR are on on a friday they will go to Fev,Donny or Sheffield on the thursday

Unfortunatley [ or fortunatley depending on how you look at it ] you being somewhat out in the sticks [ relatively speaking ] will affect the times you are on SKY

Personally I dont think the thursday Championship TV deal is working , it costs the club gate revenue and I dont think any clubs are making much if any extra profits from sponsorship because of it

I would have said a Monday night highlights programme featuring a match from each division would be better for our competition and the clubs in it

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

You'll get plenty of coverage in the play-offs, panic not.

I think everyone at Sky thought Widnes, Fax, Leigh, Haven for the title. You've been the surprise package and I don't think you can really blame Sky for that.

Because they have a shiny new stadium and they can then say yet again " Wouldn't it be great to have this stadium in SL " for the umpteenth time

What about Dewsbury Rams V Keighley Cougars?????? Televised 11/06/09
York V Oldham??????? Televised 25/06/09
Why would these teams get televised before Barrow???
No fancy stadiums there!
Lower crowds!
Lower league positions this season AND last season!

Oldham and Dewsbury probably favourites pre-season.

Fair point! But surely half way through the season, sky (the powers that be) could and can amend any televised fixtures. And maybe broadcast a team that is currently top of the championship and in the quarter finals of the national rail cup!!

Fev have been on more than most sides I believe, prob the Harris / Powell factor there!

As mentioned Sky wouldn't of f expected much from Barrow this year, even with your recruitment they know sweet FA anyway!

They also have to split the L2 fixtures as well so can't really grumble at that! I am sure you'll be on more for the latter end of the year!
