David Storey's novel 'This Sporting Life' was turned into a film in the early sixties. Since then there have been few novels written against a strong Rugby League background that could follow. However in November 2007, I was asked to send a copy of my first novel 'One Winter' to the Pinewood Studios. Now it can take anything up to two years (or even longer) before such a major decision can be made but so far there has been no rejection note from them.
Anyway that aside this Saturday morning (18th April) from 11 onwards , I will be in WH Smith in York signing copies of both 'One Winter' and my latest novel 'One Autumn'.
Details of my four novels, that are all inspired by the old saying about being at work "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller" are provided below.
One note of interest to users of this rlfans.com web site, is that 'One Autumn' must surely be the first novel ever to include references to the RLSA and our magazine TGG which I will also have some complimentary back copies of to give away.

It would be a best seller."[/b]
