Whitehaven's last six matches:

14th April: Batley (H) L 25-12
20th April: Toulouse (A) L 40-4
28th April: Fev (H) L 28-24
5th May: York (A) W 36-16
19th May: Widnes (A) D 28-28
26th May: Wakey (H) L 30-6

One win in six for Whitehaven. They had a good win at York, a disappointing loss at home to Batley, a decent draw at Widnes and a respectable loss at home to Featherstone.

If we play like we did against Batley, we should win. If we play like we did against Halifax, we lose. Nippy players with a side-step and a bit of pace might be our weakness. It's essential we don't allow any quick play-the-balls.

Bookmaker price prediction: Dons to get a two point start.

Agree with Haven's losses being respectable and they do have some decent strike players so a repeat of sunday and we're in trouble, but i do think our lads would of given their heads a wobble and see sunday as a perfect opportunity to right the wrongs, I'd have the mark at Don's-8pts and if so i will be investing in that.

Having watched the Halifax game highlights I'm struggling to raise a glimmer of hope for the Haven encounter. Happy to be wrong but I think we have been found out, a side that was allegedly in the doldrums just made us look bloody awful.

Next week's highlights will just see the ball being touched down, Wilf! The key play is often the one before the try is scored - no such luck on the highlights.
We were feeling great after the nilling of Batley, now we're wondering if we're not as good as we thought we might be. No matter which team you are, if you're not on your game, you can get beaten in this league. I hoping it was an off day on Sunday, not a 'normal day'. We'll know more after Sunday.

Yep, a good game to 'bounce back' from last Sunday. I hope Connor Robinson is fit and starts. The lads will be hurting and desperate to get back to winning ways. It should be a good game. I hope the fans turn out in numbers with the special ticket prices and don't stay away because of last Sunday.

Just read that Hepi is out for the season with a ACL injury. That's a sod for him given his previous injuries. Hope he make a full recovery :thumb:

Poor lad. That is bad luck... for both him and the club. Let's hope he makes a full recovery.

Maybe we'll need Nathan Wilde for more than his initial loan spell?
