Halifax's last six league games:

7th April: Batley (H) Won 18-10
14th April: Widnes (A) Lost 40-14
21st April: Sheffield (H) Lost 46-0
28th April: Swinton (H) Lost 28-12
5th May: Fev (A) Lost 36-16
19th May: York (A) Lost 40-18

My bookmakers prediction: Dons to give Halifax 14 points start.

Halifax have conceded 33 points, on average, in their last six whilst scoring 13 on average.

They're having an awful run, one I expect them to turn around at some point, but we need to try to make sure this isn't the week they do it. Any result at Halifax would be seen as a bonus in the games we'd ear marked at the start of the season I'd imagine

A fascinating game to see where we are and I'll definitely be making the trip over, i would be astounded if we were asked to give up 14pts, yes they are struggling and yes eden has just left them but they will come good soon and i have the mark around Don's -4 or -6 maximum.

Yes I think that would be a lot. Unbelievable really though that we might be going to Halifax and giving them a start

Favourites against Halifax at the Shay I must have woken up in another dimension. Do we ever wear the favourites crown with any type of ease, I suggest not. Would be pleased with any type of win but I do expect a backlash from the Panthers after that awful showing against York.

Since joining the Rugby League in 1951 the Dons have only recorded two wins & one drawn game in all their 37 away fixtures against Halifax.
15th January 1978.15-5. Played at Thrum Hall Stadium
12th April 2004. 38-20
11th August 2013. 28-28

I remember the win in 04 I think

I definitely remember one win anyway.

I think it was the year they came down and we went there expecting to get spanked but won somehow instead.

Seem to remember Alex Muff having the game of his life and being behind the posts when Craig Cook dived over from Dummy half.

I understand Leon Ruan might be joining Halifax before the weekend

I saw on Fax's forum him and another Leeds player mentioned as being in the Leeds squad

There is also a report they are trying to sign a Mathieu Pons who is on trial at Hull KR
